FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  • WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
    • We ship Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, excluding holidays. If a specific shipping date is required, please leave us a message when you place your order. Otherwise, we will ship on our next available shipping date.
  • WHEN WILL MY SHIPMENT ARRIVE?
    • All orders are shipped with UPS Next Day Air. Orders are typically delivered by 12pm noon on the scheduled delivery day. However sometimes outside variables will cause a shipment to arrive later than 12pm.
  • WHAT IF I AM UNSATISFIED WITH MY ORDER?
    • If you are unsatisfied with your order, contact us ASAP and we will try to work with you towards a solution.
  • WHAT IF UPS LOSES MY SHIPMENT?
    • UPS has proven to be the most reliable shipping courier, It is rare for them to lose a package and when there are issues we will work with UPS to solve the problem. We cannot control what happens after packages leave our facility and we yield to UPS shipping policies when a package is lost. You can read more about their policies at UPS.com.
  • WHAT IF AN ITEM ARRIVES D.O.A?
    • All live items come with an arrive alive guarantee. In the rare event of a DOA (dead on arrival) claims must be made within 2 hours of shipments arrival (UPS Confirmed Delivery time) and must include a clear picture of the coral both in and out of the bag. DOA claims are voided if package is not able to be received on first delivery attempt. All claims will be issued as future store credit applied on your next order. Cash refunds will not be issued. DOA Claims exclude Acts of God and Shipping Delays.

  • CAN ROCK N ROLL REEFS SPECIAL ORDER CORAL FOR ME?
    • Yes! We work with collectors all over the world and have access to some of the best corals available. If there is something you are looking for drop us a line and we will work to find it for you!
  • HOW SHOULD I ACCLIMATE MY CORALS?
    • We believe in a fast acclimation for corals shipped overnight. Simply float the bags to acclimate to your aquariums temperature, 15-30 minutes is usually long enough. Next take coral out of bag and place in your tank. We do not believe in drip acclimation for corals shipped overnight and have noticed no benefit from the longer acclimation time.
  • DO YOUR CORALS NEED TO BE QUARANTINED?
    • The short answer is ALL living things added to your aquarium should be quarantined and this is the rule we follow. However, we keep aqua-cultured corals and wild corals in separate systems and go through a rigorous quarantine process for our aqua-cultured corals. You can buy with confidence knowing that our cultured corals will be free of major pests such as: Aiptasia, Bubble Algae and species-specific pests such as Zoanthid eating Nudibranchs. Our wild coral colonies also go through a strict acclimation process and while not always fully quarantined, we use several dips and do inspections to make sure we are not passing pests on to our customers. We will never knowingly ship a coral that is showing signs of pests or other health issues. On that note a dedicated quarantine tank for corals  is always recommended and can save a lot of frustration down the road.  
  • CAN I ADD ITEMS TO MY ORDER AFTER IT IS PLACED?
    • Of course! Order off the website as usual and leave a note with your order. We will promptly refund any additional shipping charges incurred.
  • WHAT IF MY ORDER IS UNABLE TO SHIP DUE TO WEATHER?
    • We will hold your order until weather improves. PLEASE inform us of any ongoing or predicted weather events in your area before the shipping date.
